SPE disk plates are the ideal sample preparation format for LC/MS and other high throughput applications. Disk diameter is 5.5mm. Filter plates are designed for protein precipitation and are compatible with a variety of collection formats, including 96-well automation. The use of these plates eliminates the need for centrifugation.
Bonded silica sorbents are commonly used for the solid phase extraction of analytes from complex sample matrices. A variety of functional groups, such as octadecyl (C18), octyl (C8), and ethyl (C2), can be bonded to the silica surface to provide nonpolar interactions. Neutral and ionized analytes can be simultaneously extracted from a complex mixture and eluted as separate fractions. Universal resin is used for high retention of a wide range of analytes, reducing method development time and facilitating a generic approach to sample preparation.
